Le Grand Bain or its English translation The deep end of the pool takes inspiration on an image I first assembled as part of the Home Grown Garden project. The diorama depicts a seabed mixed with optical lenses, reflective material and one singular stone. Composed of an open set of pieces ranging from video, to sculpture in plaster, to painting on polycarbonate, to two dimensional images, the installation is akin more to an open environment where different surfaces collide. The juxtaposition of formats and textures construct an ephemeral landscape layering time and memory.

The video Parades stages birds perched on wires among airplaine trails. The birds’ courtships overlap family holidays and urban landscapes shot in Tokyo, Mexico, Miami and various places in France. This six minute voyage acts as the cornerstone of the installation unveiling the evocative power of the sole materials used in the surrounding pieces.
