The Ocean Club, a Four Seasons Resort

This storied property, managed by Four Seasons as of late 2017, was once the home of A&P Tea Company heir Huntington Hartford II, and more recently, appeared in the 2006 James Bond remake of Casino Royale.

Since opening in 1962, The Ocean Club, Bahamas has been a playground for discerning travellers. Set along an 8-kilometre stretch of natural, white-sand beach on Paradise Island, the Resort is connected with Bahamian beauty in an enclave of remarkable seclusion, with intimate low-rise villas immersed in 14 hectares of Versailles-inspired lawns and gardens.

About the project

Sophie Kitching was invited by Samuels Creative & Co. to create a limited edition print for The Ocean Club’s redesigned “Crescent Wing”. This series of rooms adjacent to the expansive Crescent Lawn with unobstructed views of the ocean, embody the pristine legacy of the 60-year-old property itself, which overlook the white sand beach of Paradise Island

Invisible Green (Four Seasons) features Kitching’s emblematic vegetal and floral abstracted patterns, evocative of the exquisite natural setting. In line with her signature Invisible Green paintings, this edition subtly connects nature and architecture and blends through the printed form her use of oil, watercolor and crayons. Published by Samuels Creative for the Four Seasons and printed by Sugarlift, New York, each print is signed and numbered by the artist.
