In No Wall Exhibition I positioned myself as the curator of a fictional group show. The idea was to create an immersive environment at the border of nature and abstraction. I chose five fictional artists presenting works in different formats, including video, sound, paintings, drawings and sculpture. I was in fact the artist of all of the pieces, some of which I had created in other contexts. The installation, by confronting a variety of media and aesthetics through different identities, triggered a new dialogue through my multidisciplinary approach. The ambiguity was present, questioning the purpose and the reception of an art work. In an indirect and perhaps irreverent way, this project was a means to present myself.
The title of the installation draws from an anecdote : I was told that I was able to use the gallery space if I didn't put anything on the walls. This statement, both absurd and rigid, became the leitmotiv of the installation. I used the floor as a wall, and also incorporated the walls themselves, by only touching the art work against them.
